Space Access 2019 will be the next round of Space Access Society's conference on the technology, business, and politics of radically cheaper space transportation, brought to you this year by the Bay Area's own Experimental Rocket Propulsion Society in cooperation with Space Access Society.

And it's coming up fast! Just days till SA2019 gets underway. The Marriott is 10 miles from the San Jose Airport, 24 from Oakland.

SA2019 will feature a cross-section of the growing cheap access community, talking about what's going on now and what happens next, in an intensive informal atmosphere, single-track throughout so you don't have to miss anything. Space Access has been described as "Hackers" for rocket people, with better content than other space conferences costing many times more. It's three days of total immersion in making the future happen.

This near-final presentations schedule now has detailed start-times and durations. There are now three major focus areas over the three days of the program: On Thursday, we feature the current Entrepreneurial Revolution in Smallsat Launch. On Friday, the near-future transition to Reusable-Rocket Transport Networks in Earth-Moon Space. And on Saturday, the eventual transition to Getting There Faster: Advanced High-Energy Space Propulsion. Minor schedule tweaks may still happen as we try to accommodate all our excellent presenters.

Conference Registration

Online advance registration is closed. Regular SA2019 registration is now $220 at the conference. Student full-conference rate is $80. Day rate is $80/$40, Regular/student. Exhibitor is now $400, Patron now $500. If you missed online registration, you can register at the conference, starting 8am, Thursday, April 18.

Help Make Our Hospitality Hospitable!

Previous Space Access conferences have been known for their lavish Hospitality spreads. We've been able to do that on our customary shoestring budgets only because we were able to bring in our own food & beverage rather than pay typical ten-times higher Hotel f&b prices.

Unfortunately this Marriott is serious about allowing only their own food & beverage in hotel function spaces. And our hotel bill this year is already impressively steep, the Bay Area being what it is. On available budget our Hospitality area this year would be a sparse and spartan experience (aside from the reliably sparkling company there you all so generously provide.)

Unless, that is, you Donate To The SA2019 Hospitality Fund! (Fully tax-deductible as ERPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.) Any size donation gratefully accepted, but you can be a listed Hospitality co-sponsor for a day for $500, and a full sponsor for a day for $1000. (Any donations in excess of our final Hospitality food&beverage bill will be applied toward the rest of our large Marriott tab for function space etc. Any donations in excess of that will go towards other ERPS 501(c)(3) compatible activities in development and promulgation of liquid fuel rocket technology.)

Exhibition Space

We will have a combined Hospitality space and Exhibitor Room in the Fremont mini-ballroom, right across the foyer from the main SA2019 Presentations Ballroom. Exhibitor membership will get you one Regular membership, a 8' display table, and two chairs. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come first served basis.

Hotel Note: Rooms at the Marriott are available for most nights of the conference. If they are out of affordable rooms for your desired nights, you may find other accommodations nearby at this link. Even if you need to stay elsewhere for a night we would appreciate your booking at the Marriott the rest of your stay, for your added convenience and to help us meet our contractual room-nights obligation.

Conference Style

Space Access conferences are designed to let people who are serious about low-cost space transportation get together, trade information, make deals, and learn useful things. Dress averages business casual, and we don't do rubber-chicken banquets - just an intensive single-track presentations schedule with relaxed on-your-own meal breaks, in a setting with comfortable places in the hotel and nearby to go off for food, drink, and talk, including our Space Access Hospitality corner in the Exhibits hall.
